Where to See the Autumn Leaves
Sengataki Falls (Free)
A 30-meter waterfall whose two sides turn brilliant with autumn foliage; on clear days a rainbow can appear over the falls, adding to the seasonal color.
At the upper end of the gorge walking route; free to view along the trail.
Mt. Yasaburo summit via Shosenkyo Ropeway (Paid)
From the top of the ropeway, a 360-degree panorama takes in the whole autumn-colored gorge and, on clear days, distant peaks.

Getting There
In Kofu City, Yamanashi. Reached by bus from Kofu Station toward the Shosenkyo area; walking trails run about 5 km through the gorge from Tenjinmori to Sengataki Falls.
Crowd & Timing Tips
- Weekends and holidays in November are very crowded; the tourism association recommends arriving early to secure parking, and drivers should use the designated lots along the gorge.
