Mihariodai Lookout (Rest House) (Free)

The classic overlook beside the Naruko Gorge Rest House, taking in the full sweep of the colored gorge and its bridge.
About 10 minutes by taxi from JR Naruko-Onsen Station on the Nakayamadaira side.

Gorge Walking Path (Free)

Short riverside paths from the Nakayamadaira and Naruko sides let you walk beneath the colored cliffs when open (weather permitting).
From the Rest House area; paths run roughly 230-350 meters each way.

Getting There

About 10 minutes by taxi from JR Naruko-Onsen Station (Rikuu East Line); by car roughly 1 hour from Kogota IC via Route 47. A seasonal 'Koyo-go' shuttle bus runs from Naruko-Onsen Station in peak season.
