About 700 maples (~560 iroha maple, ~100 large-leaf momiji, ~40 others) at the foot of the Mt. Misen primeval forest, a short walk from Itsukushima Shrine.

Momijibashi bridge area (Free)

The stream and red bridge at the heart of the park, densest with maples; also the base of the Miyajima ropeway up Mt. Misen.
From the Miyajima ferry pier, walk past Itsukushima Shrine; the park is a short walk inland toward Mt. Misen.

Getting There

Take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station (about 25–30 minutes from Hiroshima), then the ferry to Miyajima (about 10 minutes); the park is a walk inland from the pier past Itsukushima Shrine.
